I am very pleased to report that I have a new addition to the family .
A Dan Wesson ECO in .45 ACP. THE .45 ACP is significant for me because all my other
1911s are 9mm. I retired in 2008 had never shot much pistol before , was always a shotgunner and and had rifles too. Decided that 9 mm would be a little easier on my 60 year old hands. With today’s experience, I think that was a mistake. Shooting the .45 ECO with 185 grain Winchester FMJ the perceived recoil was no different than my 9’s in my opinion.
The ECO shot great and ran perfectly, no failures to cycle , not even any failures to return to battery. LOVE THIS GUN . I only shot 50 rounds per DW recommendation.
Need to continue the break in. Hopefully will be a labor of love.
Bought it last Friday when I was just window shopping at a nice gun shop in Sarasota FL and was on special for $1299. Could not resist that price . Retail is about $1699 and even Buds is more than $1299 .
    Thanks for looking..

Congrats on a fine pistol! I have several from DW and each has been an accurate reliable pistol.
