Just a few things to tidy up before Cerakote. I'm not sure if I'm done blending the grip safety and thumb safety.

What do you guys think? The threaded barrel isn't really my cup of tea but the gun isn't for me.

My pics are hugeso they got clipped a little. Sorry about that.

I like it, not feeling the tacti-cool threaded barrel.

GS looks pretty good to me at this point

Not bad so far. I like the angle of the front of the rail section of the dustcover, particularly how it angles back to the rear on its lower section.

It fit a little loose for my taste but functions fine.

Thanks. It started off as the same frame angle as knedrgr's frame but I modified it on a surface grinder.

Thanks, what parts are you talking about specifically. I don't mind constructive criticism if it makes me better at my job.

You already touched on blending the grip safety, thumb safety and slide lock.
They just seem to need the edges broken,....to me they do not flow very well.

Also,.....I am not knocking your work, over all I like that build a lot!

Here are a few areas that I see:
From the pictures, this could be from the fresh working surface hitting the lighting, but I can see a few contour lines at the bottom of the BT area, between the two tangs.

The blending of the frame's contour in the GS section could be a little smoother. Remsport's machining leaves this area with a few different curves. So you can try to give it one smooth curve by breaking some edges.

And the blending of the trigger guard/frame area needs a little dressing to make it a smooth contour. Again, this is from Remsport's machining that needs to be clean up.

This is all from my POV. YMMV.

How do you like the EGW BTGS? I think it's an awesome piece.

I didn't take a recent picture, but I reshaped the back of the BT so the side wall would wrap around to the back, thus looking like a EB BTGS. And I think it looks hell of a lot better than the stock shape.

It's a CMC grip safety, not an EGW. The CMC beavertail had a massive amount of meat on it. I know exactly what part of the grip safety blend you are talking about in your other post. I think all I need is a band of 180 aluminum oxide paper and I just need to shoe shine it down to a smooth curve. I have a few hours into the grip safety alone because there was so much extra meat on it. I have a pic of it before I started blending and I will post it later to show you so you can compare it to other safeties.

I also did what you did with your grip safety but the pictures don't show the edge that wraps around the beavertail very well because it is subtile.

Also, I don't mind the way Remsport does the undercut. If it was my gun I might file it out smooth or I might not. The customer doesn't mind it so I'm not going to blend it out like yours. You did a very good job on your gun by the way.
