Guys, looking for suggestions for a new CCW, preferably smaller size. In the fall and winter my go-to is my DW CCO. But for warmer weather I’ve been carrying a G26. It’s ok, but a little on the “chubby” side. So I’m looking for something in the G26 size ballpark for summer carry and office/dress clothes carry. Any option is on the table at this point. I’ve got a budget of say $700.

Whenever I run into a situation where my clothes or environment is going to demand ultimate concealment I borrow my wife’s Glock 43 with a plus two magazine extension. That thing flat out disappears.

Glock 43 if you like the Glock fire control, but the Sig 365 is a great little striker gun for CCW.

Guys I have to admit I used to own a Kimber Solo and a friend talked me into selling it to him and I’ve regretted selling it ever since. That gun would eat any ammo you fed it, including my 115 mild reloads. It was a gun I could slip in my pocket and never know it was there. I’ve been tempted to buy another one.

Kimber is slated to release a new version of the solo in 2019.

Since you're comfortable with the 1911 platform, how about a Sig P938 or P238? The P238 is my "put it in my pocket when I can't carry a bigger gun" gun.

Wait for the Kimber EVO, it’ll be a striker fired 9mm. Looks similar to the Kimber Micro’s.

When I was still in corporate America I was always armed with a Kahr CM9. Carried in a Galco pocket holster everyday in the office. No one had a clue.

I didn’t know that. There’s a Solo Crimson Carry on GB for $400 right now that looks really good. The CT grips alone are like $200.

Had a 238 and just can’t get past the looks. They just look funky to me. The lines just don’t look right to me. Or maybe it’s the grip angle.

If you want to stay with 45 acp then the single stack Glock model 36.
I'm sorry I can not suggest any 9mms as I do not own any 9mm pistols.

If you liked your solo that much and have experience with it, then go with that. I’ve consider a p365 also

Kahr PM9 about as small as the Kimber Solo but not as "slick". Glock 43, can't go wrong, only a little larger than the Kahr.
I have a Kimber Solo Carry that I would be happy to sell you. It has the trigger shortened about 1/8" so it won't pinch. Runs fine, just too "slick" for me. I got a deal on the Kahr PM9 and switched to that.
If you go with 45 a Glock 36 is a nice set up.

A Gaston 36 is almost as chunky as a G19

That new "little" Sig 10 shot 9mm is getting pretty good reviews, Glock 43's are great, carried one for over a year. Back to J frame for me.

Yeah, the Sig P365 is definitely on my radar, they’re just difficult to find at a reasonable price right now.

They must be going for full retail...like most Sigs when they first are introduced and kind of rare.
