Looks unique and almost like a DW Specialst. But is it worth $500 more? Haven’t seen a Colt commander with rail and all the other attributes. Input is appreciated!!! Merry Christmas

The Colt custom shop guns are VERY nice, and the Cmdr versions are scarcer than 5” guns. I think it is well worth the money asked.

That’s not your average colt. It’s a custom shop limited build, no mim parts (colt only uses 4 usually) everything is hand fit, blended and tuned. Barrel is gunsmith fit. My friend has one and it’s on the level of custom shops like Wilson. Also has an ion bond finish.

Nice gun! Railed Commanders are hard enough to find, you're not talking a big premium for the Custom Shop work at that price.

Haha! I'm with G on this one. I'm not a fan of Dan Wesson. Probably good guns but I hate the styling, the angled serrations, and that stupid little name they put on their slides. It angers me to no end.....I'd much rather have a rattling old colt.

While there are a lot of very nice, high quality production 1911s out there, Colt products will always hold a special place in my appreciation of the pistol (hence my recent purchase of a Gunsite Commander lol). I'm in a place in life where I don't feel the need to have a light on my pistol, especially for ccw purposes-having said that if I was in the market I'd jump on that Colt-Do It!!

Though I did spend about the same money for both Colts as I did for the Valor.
This is a bargain at 1.5x what I paid

Yep...that stupid script on the slide. It makes me crazy! If you aren't gonna put colt rollmarks...just leave it naked. This is one of the things guncrafter does correctly.

It isnt limited to Dan Wesson. S&W and Baer make me nuts as well. Do we really need a big 45acp sign pasted on the slide? The TRS is the only Baer I would ever own due to this. It's the only one with good markings.
