Been lurking and learning, enjoying the wisdom shared. From Southern California, born and raised...please don't hold it against me. Love the 1911 but enjoy other platforms as well. Own a couple (Springfield MC Operator, Dan Wesson CBOB, and an older 9mm Colt from the late 70s) but just put into a 10 day holding pattern a WC CQB...working on my addiction. Not easy being from California and that damn roster. Cheers!

Welcome aboard from beautiful BF Egypt. I am a native Los Angelean, but I bailed years ago. You did miss the great days of 1911 shooting, from early IPSC to the Steel Challenge, etc etc etc. You also missed a couple of great practical shooting mavens both now gone. Had a ball, shot out some tuned Colts and I miss it.
