Octogenarian. Been a collector & competitor since high school. Acquired my 1st 1911(WWI) in 1957, many since then. Competitions: High School & college-Fast Draw(Colt SAAs); Law School & years thereafter- NRA Bullseye(1911s, .45 & .38 spl Jim Clark's work) 1973-1978-Police Combat (Colt Python, Reeves Junking tuned); 1974 -1990-ATA Trap; 1984-1989-IPSC & NRA Action (1911s .45, .38 Super Bill Wilson guns & S&W 686 .38 spl); 1989-2000-SASS Cowboy Action(back to Colt SAAs), now in old age just recreational shooting. Present favorite 1911 is Les Baer .38 Super Stinger but also have a Ruger 1911 stainless .45 and a Browning 1911 Black Label .380, all carry & car piostols.
