Speaking only for myself, I find the pricing too high for an unproven gun ($1250 extra to make a ported gun comped?), the rollmark/label is hideously obnoxious, and the looks make me wonder what exactly they were going for. Just when it seemed the 2011 market was sorting itself out, there’s another “hold my beer”.

That said, always happy to read reviews if anyone gets one in the near future.

That Cardinal is pretty awesome.

 

I’d buy a Cardinal in a heartbeat if they would add a front sight and rear-iron plate, or at least a front sight cut.

 

2011 companies now are the equivalent to what CrossFit was in the 2011-2015 era.

There were a few elite gyms that everyone had to be a part of (back when the CrossFit Games were legit). Then, as time progressed, a gym opened on every street corner with a cornier name and logo led by a "seasoned/experience coach" and prices through the roof for monthly memberships to keep the gyms afloat and justify all the equipment that would eventually be sold off because the gym couldn't make ends meet.

 

The Weapon Collective eluded that Dark Forge / Rogue Tactical might be behind doing Taran's Sandviper... In that case the gun 5" comp'd and ported version should make for an interesting shooter. The looks are very polarizing for sure, it's like a cybertruck, either you dig it or you dont. Would be cool to see more info on these guns actually being tested and shot.

JMHO, the Dark Forge offerings are very unattractive.
Now the ported Cardinal really has my interest!

 

My Cardinal is one of the very few 2011s I own that I feel doesn't need porting. That being said, if you're going to port something, PORT it. The little "dyna" ports in that new model won't do much of anything I imagine. Slap a Grand Master Genghis Comp on that thing and report back!

Maybe I'll run the G2 against the Reaper when it comes in and share my findings

@KOVERT weapons collective has a right suggestion the Reaper should have those bronze pins/mag release highlights pieces, will make it look more premium. Is it possible to run that suggestion by DF people? Thanks.
