Huge thanks to @mcs1564 for the sale of the Turnbull Remington UMC seen here with my Colt O1918. . .lovely pair, the Remington is a nicer gun than the Colt, and I will likely never have occasion to say that again haha.

Will have to stare at them for a bit and see if have a future on the bench as base guns. . .

Well, they wouldn't have a lot to say, they are only about 10-15 years old haha

Heck, the Remington is only 3 or 4 and the Colt not much older. I had one of those Turnbull Remingtons for a while, bought it new with all of the accessories, it was a really nice gun, very well fit and finished, so nice that I couldn't bring myself to shoot it and ended up selling it to a friend. When I got mine I spoke to the folks at Turnbull about them and also a Remington rep. When Remington commissioned Turnbull to build the guns (it was a run of 1000) Remington provided the firing group (no MIM per their rep) and Turnbull provided everything else - frame, slide, barrel, small parts, mags, etc.. The guns were built and finished by Turnbull and, while they're not as refined as the guns sold under the Turnbull name for a lot more money, they are still really nice. Mine had an excellent trigger and very smooth slide action. IMO, they are "best buy" guns for sure and you got a great deal on this one, Karl, congrats.

They make great base guns. Mine was worked over by Garthwaite.

Glad to hear you like it and it was good doing business with you!

I'd have to agree that the Remington is a lot nicer.

    Love that Remington!

I think it would be a great base for a build. :)
