It was sporting some VZ Operator grips and had the idiot mark, I got it home and promptly swapped the original grips back on and polished out the idiot mark and gave it a good cleaning - now I just need to get out and puts some rounds downrange ;)

Back in 2011 I found one in 10mm that was LNIB in a LGS. The envelope with the fired case dates to May 2008 and the serial number is C80xxxCZ. It is a nice pistol.

Excellent gun. Just a few months older than my PM7 which I got in May of '07. Wonder if the FS checkering was custom order. Not sure if DW did custom work back then. I sent my PM7 out for checkering just a few years ago. If you don't already have a DW, you're in for a treat.

Took it to the range and it’s a shooter, took me sometime to get used to the bob’ed grip and I’m going to need some sights on it. The front sight is pretty much out and the rear still glow so I kept picking them up and not the front..

The VBob is an acquired taste. I prefer the grip of the A2, but the VBob does carry a bit better (prints a bit less). Overall, I like them both quite a lot and more than other 1911’s I have owned.

Nice pickup, I'm having DW build me a custom classic as we speak, it'll be a long 12 weeks ;)
