I've owned Wilson and NH and Colt. Each was servicable. I've kept the Wilson UltraLightCarry and a NH Costa Carry, the first in 9, the later 45. I've kept one Colt Defender (45) out of three I've owned. The Defender is set up with an extreme close quarters front sight that really does the job. The wilson UltraLight may be the most comfy 1911 i've toted long hours with;' the NH Costa is by far the most comfy CCO I've ever shot with the flat spring system in it. Truthfully, you can't go wrong with any maker you listed, throw Cot in - they've been doing Defenders right for the last 10-15 years in my book.
Ive tried the defender, I cant. The 1 i could get to run and it's still stubby to look at. Ive been pretty disappointed with colt as of late. I've got my EA custom colt CCU CCO. So my 9mm cco bullet is filled.

And im not trying to send this one off, just pay to play so to speak. For about the same money I could send one to dave again, yea. But then I wouldnt have a NHC, WC etc.

I’m sure he would sell it without the optic. The iOS irons will serve you well and if you ever decide you want an optic there’s no need to send it off.
I think you have to own a carry gun longer than a week to be qualified to have an opinion......just sayin

Another for EB...im keeping score. You've got quite the stable of compacts. Would you say its a toss up of the big names brought up? Or do any stand out for you.
They are all the same aside from price and esthetics. If you want a stainless Brown is the clear choice, blue'd ACW is the clear choice. Something more custom or off-beat, Nighthawk (think Delegate)

Very well put, thankyou.

As a fan of 1911 CCOs I do not have any custom ones that are mentioned but if I had money I would buy a Nighthawk T3...lightweight frame...blacked out...with a smoked nitride finish in 45acp. I would think all the customs listed in your post would be pretty equal as far as accuracy and quality. Sometimes the look of a 1911 just calls me and that's what the T3 does.

I’m definitely a CCO fan and have a number in 45. Of those you originally listed, I think you’ll be very happy with the ACW. Nothing to complain about in the Nighthawks either. One brand that I’d add to the mix is Guncrafter. There is one in the classifieds now that’s an absolute steal, but it’s in 9mm

I have one in 45 that’s utterly redundant in my collection but is a keeper since it’s more reliable and accurate than any other CCO I own.

What issues have you had with the others?
