I am the second owner and the original owner claimed 300 rds and I have shot 500rds. It has been carried seldomly, I think the pics tell the story on finish. I would rate the finish at conservative 90% (this is subjective for someone with OCD), but the gun will outlast us and many more generations if taken care of
