For everyday carry, picked up a new old stock, black nitride, .45 caliber Marvel off gunbroker with six mags for $2625.

It has a build date of 9/28/2016 by David Atchley.

Was planning on giving it a good lubing before taking it in the backyard to try her out. I seem to recall reading they don’t recommend cleaning them before 500 rounds?

Anyone know what kind of ammo Nighthawk uses testing their guns?

I’ve heard they run well with Winchester white box.

Anyone found any loadings that work or don’t work particularly well?

Atchley is the best Smith there.....buy some ammo and see what the gun likes.
Test it for yourself......that’s half the fun of a new pistol

I clean, inspect and lube all new pistols......it just makes sense

I think I would say Atchley is ONE of the best there. How 'bout Travis Gregory, Joey Lehr etc?
They are all excellent smiths!
Just sayin'
