Just got the email from Nighthawk introducing the Firehawk and IOS, like I’m sure a lot of you addicts, uh enthusiasts did. Looks very interesting.

It looks like it takes the fixed site from an Atlas Nemisis, and Cabot cycle technology, rolled into one. I’ve been giving consideration to getting something with the fixed sight.

Does the additional static weight really reduce muzzle jump? There’s an awful lot of force at that muzzle, don’t know if a few ounces help. I have a comp on my 586 L comp and I do believe it makes a difference with .357. But , I’m no engineer and I didn’t stay at a Holiday Inn.

Anyone play with one at Shot Show range day?

The comp is also forcing the gun down. So you have weight and gas forces on your side...

I really wish I hadn't seen that, it is about to cost me a bunch of monies. I think Nighthawk knocked it out of the park with this one.

that's a fine looking gun. I'd be willing to bet it's a very soft shooter

I had a cone shaped barrel ( bull barrel?) on a pistol . My guess is the incremental forward weight on it is less than the Firehawks.

The conical barrel made a pretty significant difference . I’d bet the new NHC will be a very soft shooter.
