No love for small guns

Of the many really great pistols I see, there is little to no love for the minis. I have a Sig 938 mini 1911 8 shot 1911 that is very handy to carry and I carry more than every thing else combined. Shooting it is just OK and accuracy is just OK but, 8 rounds of 9mm in a 1-1/2 lb package is hard to beat for me. BTW it is very reliable with decent ammo and I can put all eight in the kill zone at 10 yards rapid fire. My DW's are twice the gun but no help at home in the safe if the SHF.

I have a Ruger LCP if that counts towards a mini? Crimson trace on it is excellent for easy and accurate shooting.
Nothing but love for the littles from me. Me and the wife’s P238s. I carry this nearly half the time and I forget it’s there in a Mitch Rosen IWB. Had mine cerakoted in sniper grey. Wife’s is brand new right before they were discounted. This and your big brother P938 are fantastic pistols.

I have the 238. It has been a tack driver and totally reliable.
It plays second fiddle to a Novak Custom Colt 1903 in .380.

These are wonderfully popular pistols. An old member he once told me, “a small gun that is carried is more valuable than a large gun that gets left behind”

There certainly is a great value in a small, concealable, reliable pocket pistol.

Wait, you got a what!! There need to be pictures of this!!
The best "small" guns Sig ever made were the P230 and P232 series. Glad to own one of each. They kept the classic Sig decocker lever on these.

My 238 and 938 are both accurate (very) and 100%. I highly recommend them.

I carry my Ed Brown Kobra Carry about 95% of the time - NOT a "mini" pistol. But - when I need serious concealment, my go-to is a Sig P365 with a WC grip module. Small, light, and surprisingly shootable.

My small gun I recently acquired. An early 1920's Deutsche Werke Ortgies in 6.35mm.

Picked it up for a hundred bucks. Upon disassembly I discovered a broken firing pin.

An overhaul soon followed; complete disassembly, deep clean, newly manufactured firing pin and all springs installed, 5 minutes of Ole English on the grips, reassembled. Now I've gotta find some ammo and shoot the mini German pistol.

Ya'll did say small pistol...

I carry my P365 in my pocket most often. Surprisingly accurate and easy to shoot. The WC grip is grippy. Also MagGut modified mags and a trigger job.

Those are not small guns. If you had the same weight and dimensions to work with for a new gun, it’d be a double stack 9mm. They are, however, one of the best handling guns ever. Had a 230 that I regret selling. Only turnoff was the heel release, which I wish they would’ve changed on the 232.

How big is the 238 compared to, say, an LCP? I’ve been considering one as another pocket carry option.
I keep this in my daily bibs pocket for livestock chores around the property... it's intent is emergency use at best but mainly to get to anything else. If in my work clothes I always have a commander'ish size EDC on me.
