Traded a series 70 in the late 70s for a 44 GPW that was in the Pacific with the USMC. Completely restored it, but painted it in ETO colors because an old friend was in the ETO with the Army Air and he did the flathead on it.
Worked on MASH occasionally until the Teamsters broke the rear body mount. Had an M84 overdrive in it. Had a lot of fun with it. Sadly more parts today then there were in those days. Had to make the top bow mounts by hand. Things are worth a small fortune today in good condition. Your granny picture isn't right, there's no levers in the back on the WWII Jeeps, either Jeep or Ford built.
