I picked this up the other day local, came with 3 boxes of 9mm and a military leg holster.. paid $350 for it. Owners manual looked old so I checked into it.
    From the numbers, it's a Beretta M92FA-S, made 1990.
The guy I got it from fired 4 rounds through it, there were 4 missing from one of the boxes. The guy before him never shot it, I'm the 3rd owner. This thing looks pretty much new, I plan to put a few rounds through it for function and set it in the safe. :) BERETTA M92.jpg

Very nice. You did well there. They are a good quality piece of engineering. I sold one a while back and darn it. It was one of the smoothest fitting factory pistols I’ve ever handled. Plus you got that eye-talion thing going. LOL

You did get a good deal on that one. I REALLY like full sized 9mm pistols.

Very nice! Something just sexy about the Beretta. Going to send it to Wilson Combat for them to unlock God mode on it???

As low as the round count is on it, it's currently a safe queen, I want to put a few in it just to test fire.

There's really nothing collectible about them.

The first models are collectible and the SB model is slightly, but once the trigger guard became square, its just another 92 from a value standpoint.

I'd shoot and enjoy it. Its a nice pistol.

Ooh, very nice. Where did you get those grips? My old surplus 92S could use an upgrade.

Yeah I would say that's a great deal. I always seem to need to have a 92FS in the collection. If you decide to shoot it, I would look at lightening the recoil and main spring, they are heavily over sprung stock (like most military guns). I use a 14lb recoil and 12lb main spring and it lights almost everything I've run through it.

Those are factory, believe it or not. Beretta shipped some of the early guns with smooth wood grips. Albeit, most had black plastic grips.

None of the original 92 grips had the Beretta logo on them, whether they be wood or plastic.
