Favorite carry ammo is 147 grain Remington Golden Saber and 124 and 147 grain Federal HST . With its Aluminum frame it’s only about 25 ozs. and carries very comfortable all day in a IHL pancake holster . And she’s a looker too IMHO. ❤️
Only disappointment is STI is no longer making single stack 1911s and are concentrating on only making the 2011 platform.

In my opinion, STI 1911’s are under appreciated. I’ve had 4 3” STI “carry” guns, and all have functioned flawlessly. I still have a Shadow in 45 acp in my carry rotation.

I have never had an Elektra but have had Guardians and Escorts. I have never had any issues with any of the STIs I own or have owned. All single stacks.

Totally agree that their single stack 1911 were under appreciated.
I have really wanted a Shadow in addition to my ELEKTRA but never pulled the trigger. Now regretting it The ELEKTRA is basically a spiffied up Shadow. Very disappointed they are out of the single stack 1911 business. Thank you for your reply

It’s a crying shame they deserted the 1911 platform totally ..
    Thanks for your reply .

That’s understandable, since they have quite making 1911 ‘s to concentrate on the 2011 platform. If you should find used one in good condition you might want to give serious consideration to adding it to you collection. .

Actually, they've just introduced the Staccato-C, marketed as a "2011 single-stack." 3.9" bbl, officer's length round-butt grip. Several of us here have them on pre-order.

I have 2 Electra’s. The wife carries the 9mm one and I occasionally carry one that’s been converted to 38Super with another 9x23 conversion barrel. They’ve been great flawless shooters.
