Ontario PD in this case is in Cali, DB’s old org.
I like my XC but don't see it as ideal for a duty pistol. Maybe these will be sprung differently than a standard XC, as I saw extreme sluggishness with minimal dirt build up with the factory recoil weight. I really wonder how these will handle a cold environment like Canada.

This looks more like someone has money to spend in the department and is taking advantage.

The loaner in the event of an OIS is pretty unique. A little off topic here, but JP Enterprises in MN does the same thing for LEOs using a personal rifle. It came about because the former range master of my department is friends with the owner (John Paul), and he explained to JP that our firearms are held as evidence for 7 years after an OIS. He explained that a lot of cops were hesitant to buy such a nice patrol rifle for that reason.

Big plus for Staccato‘s LE program. They also recently had a 25% discount and six magazines included for LE purchases.
Need to get there next time in ATX & besides Stacatto’s loaner program add SOL & Troy albeit for loaner RFs.

I just saw this video on Youtube yesterday. This blows my mind. I was lucky to get a $400 Glock 22 when I was still on the job. Actually, I had to buy my own, as my old Dept. was issuing the SW99 in .40 for a while (I wasn't a fan).

Personally, I think the P would have been a better choice. I worked with plenty of cops that weren't gun people & never took care of their firearms. In fact, the SW99 I mentioned wasn't "cop proof" and why my old Dept. eventually got rid of them & went to Glocks.

Hopefully it works out for them. I certainly wouldn't want to be around anyone letting off a round indoors with that comp and no ear pro. But I'm sure everyone's Qual scores have gone up.

Owned 2 XCs & still have a 4.15" P, well done 2011s IMO & re. the OPD chief's comments too bad DB isn't here to opine as he put in almost 20yrs. there & took his LAPD mentoring from D platoon OGs like Mudgett, Helms & Reitz to train the OPD fellas.
