Saw proposed pricing on The Gun Collective's channel and I'd certainly be interested in the base model for $1499, but not interested in the up to $3000 models

Seems like an interesting gun. I am so invested in the 2011 platform that it doesn't really make sense for me, but for someone coming in new or just wanting to try something different, might be a good option. If this came out a few years ago when I had 10 P320's and ALL the P320 mags, I absolutely would have given this a shot.

I posted about this last week, but had not seen anything about the pricing other than “competitively priced”. I apparently have a different criteria for “competitive”, they are at Staccato and Wilson Combat pricing there. It will have to be extremely impressive for me to even consider it at those costs, but I have a feeling that this will not succeed at those prices.

That is 2/3 of the Nighthawk I want. While interesting, not at this point.
Linkless barrel and sig mags... seems a stretch to consider this a 2011?

. . . . a more better 2011?
. . . . a more better 2011?
Maybe better (remains to be seen, but not unquestionable).. but a 2011? Admittedly, I'm just being picky here.
My guess is that it's a subliminal marketing nod to their expected competition . . . Staccato
They don't say it's a 2011 it's a 2133 :p

If it has a good 1911 style trigger it's going to be good. $45 Mags beat $100 mags all day and now with the limited optics USPSA division everyone shooting an X5 Legion can buy this and get a better trigger. No new mags. Very exciting - if it actually comes to market 😀
Heck, if I can snag one reasonably priced, I will give it a whirl. Honestly would take a helluva gun to out do my 226 X-Five. Its the best 9mm I have ever handled.
The 5” models are not “less than Staccato” prices?
If the video is correct only the $3000 model does not have an aluminum frame , what interest I did have is no more if that is correct.

Saw the same vid and agree

It’s not what I’d consider a 2011.

If it doesn’t take 2011 magazines, how the hell can we call it one?

It is interesting how many people still think you have to spend $100 to get good reliable 2011 mags. Sure, $50-$70 isn't cheap for a mag, but they have come a long way from the days you had to spend $100+ for an STI mag that also needed tuned upon arrival.

This is just like a Dan Wesson DWX. The DWX is a 1911/2011 upper with a CZ 75 lower w/ modified controls.
This is a 1911/2011 upper with a sig p320 lower w/ modified controls.

Glad to see the firearms market realize how good the 1911/2011 platform is in regards to it being a great platform. Thanks to staccato for opening up peoples eyes and getting 2011's into people's hands other than competition shooters.
I think this is great to see cross overs and innovation. It also kinda sucks if you're heavily invested into the 2011 platform.
I handled a DWX the other day and they are nice, however, in my opinion, there isn't a need to get a DWX or this oracle arms because at the end of the day it's NOT a full blown 2011. If someone was looking to get into the 2011-ish platform and was already stocked up on mags from X brand, this would be awesome. Especially since the prices of them are a bit cheaper (at least the DWX is).

I think this style of gun (DWX, Oracle Arms, AND Staccato CS--new mag design) is the future. I think Staccato will be phasing out the old 2011 style mag guns over years. Any new staccato release will probably use their new styled magazines. I can't imagine Staccato would have these CS mags and only have 1 gun use them. Staccato's next release will be a P sized gun using those mags -- I'd bet money on that.

If you take a 126mm Staccato mag (17rds) and hold it next to a Sig P365 Macro magazine (17rds) it's mind blowing how big a 2011 mag is and how much wasted space there is.

Wilson Combat is already ahead of the curve. They built a platform using different mags which are $40 a piece and extremely reliable, low profile, and easy to get. They now have a ton of product offerings (some good some bad) using that magazine design. They can make carry guns, competition guns, range guns, duty guns etc. all with that mag design.

2011 mag design FAILS for concealed carry. Yep tons of people do it, most do not. They can only make the gun so small using 120mm mags.

Sorry for the tangent, I just think these companies coming out with stuff like this is where the market is headed.

I think that Sig did a phenomenal job with the P365, and they have capitalized on it. They have a lot of variety that requires very little change to tooling (P320 also) and no matter how little the change seems to be, people are buying them as quick as Sig puts them out. If they would take the 17rd mag as and make a 2011 style pistol around that, you would probably get the perfect carry gun for almost everyone. If they could make a 2011 that is modular, it would sell like everything else they put out, unfortunately it seems they have scaled back to almost non-existent for their 1911’s. As much as I would like to see them enter the ring with a 2011, I don’t think it will happen. As I have put more rounds through my Prodigy without issue, I think it is the gun that will get more people into the 2011’s. Oracle is not priced low enough to be competitive.
