I beg to differ. They all had EXTERNAL EXTRACTORS. They were Stars. They also messed in on the Springfield '03s. They were using '03A3s, which didn't exist at the time.
There’s an old cowboy movie I remember from a long time ago. Richard Boone, a.k.a. “paladin“ was one of the Cowboys and he carried a 1911. There was discussion in the movie about its capacity and how fast it fired and I remember at least one gun fight set by a river.
For the life of me, I can’t remember the name of the movie I can’t find it. Does anyone have any recollection of this or was it a bad dream?
As I searched again maybe it was “big Jake”(1971) with John Wayne, Richard Boone etc. the pistol was some kind of weird Hollywood mocked up fake 1911.
I just watched (again), 'Last Man Standing' with Bruce Willis. 1911s are the 'stars'.
