Anyone ever play with any of the AR alternatives?

    ACR / SCAR / FS2000 / MSAR AUG / SIG 556/551?

Looking at 5.56 which have a folding stock or bull pups.

Just seeing if anyone had used one and had thoughts about them.

Had a MSAR AUG for a short time,........loved it.
Decided I needed a bolt gun more than a 5.56 "fun gun"

Does that stock fold? Nope. Is it a bull-pup? Nope.

    Not helping! :p

I have seen that one, I am leaning more toward a Noveske than a Knights at this point. I do not care for the sights the Knights come with.

I've got/had a ps90, a FS2000 (my kids loves that one) and ACR and a msar. Msar is OK.. but they had some stinkers too... I had to re bed the rifle barrel to get it to fit proper. Sold the MSAR off. One of the best fun shooters of them all though is a century arms C93 HK clone. That thing (wehn set up with the correct bolt gap) is a hoot, and accurate too boot.

The one I want is the top fed bren style M96 expeditionary rifle.... hehehe reminds me of a stoner.

My beef with hi was with spare parts for an XCR I bought about five years ago.
I wanted spare parts, bolt, springs, pins, ya know, spare stuff.

He flippin refused to sell spare parts. Some choice words were exchanged and I
realized he was/is a worse salesman than Jonathan Arthur Ciener.

In short,........he'll never get another slim dime from me again.
I sold the XCR and swore to never support the worthless icehole again.

Not a fan of the XCR anyway but good to know!

I really like the idea of the ACR, but I keep hearing it is pretty cheaply made. I need to find one to look at.

There's an ACR at one of our LGS, and hell if I will ever pay for one. Magpul had a great concept, and leave it to Bushmaster to charge both arms and a leg for it.
