Figured I'd start a thread with some underwater photos. I've been fortunate to have the time and health to spend so much time underwater and wouldn't trade it for any other hobby.

If there's interest I'll keep trickling photos out.

Hope you enjoy them and feel free to contribute.

Very cool! I was at the Virginia aquarium recently and really enjoyed the Sharks. I had to look through glass. You are a fortunate soul to have really lived it. Great pics too.

    Great pictures. Keep them coming.

I was fortunate enough to teach PADI classes back in the early 80s and lead dive trips in Hawaii. Yeah I know, tough life. Marine Corps career gave me the opportunity to dive in Guam, Okinawa, Philippines and Australia. Your pictures bring back some good memories.

Sure miss it. Opportunities to dive in CO are pretty sparse.

Hey Marine24 during 1989-1991 I was a scuba instructor in Guam and worked out of MDA (Micronesia Divers Association). I used to run tours on the local islands too (Palau, Rota, Saipan). I had an old thread here somewhere with lots of dive pics from the islands.

    Bugs,

Great. I'll hunt for them. Running tours can get a little old can't it no matter the scenery.

Glad you guys enjoyed the photos. I enjoy photographing just about anything underwater but mostly the bizarre and colorful little creatures. They're the little miracles that continue to bewilder me.

Littlegoat - I really like your second photo.

Bugs - Tarpon shots were taken in Bonaire. It was an absolute spectacle my wife and I enjoyed (she was a bit spooked) for about an hour. It was constant action. At one point one of the tarpon actually darted clean into me. Scared the hell out of me but made for a funny video.

Sometimes it becomes a glorified baby sitting job. But the money was good. It never ceased to amaze me the stupid things people would do no matter how much planning, supervision, and instruction they received.

Thanks, she was a big girl, when she showed up all the "little" sharks moved well away. She actually rammed the boat once.

A few more. Can anyone spot the bonus critter (aside from the two anemone fish) in picture 2?
