I was browsing the local classifieds last night and came across a NIB Ruger SR1911. I had been thinking about ordering one for a while but didn't want to wait the 4-6 months that some people are reporting it takes to get it(I'm very impatient). I was surprised to see that the guy who was selling it wasn't asking an outrageous amount for it like I have seen other places. I ended up paying $700 for it, which I think is a fair price considering that Ruger lists them for $800 now. Overall I am very impressed with this gun. The slide to frame fit is tight(tighter than my Kimber), the trigger is smooth with a nice crisp break, and the finish looks great. I won't get a chance to shoot it until probably Sunday or Monday, but when I do I'll post a range report. Here's a quick pic I took with my iPhone, I'll try to get some better pictures tomorrow.
