I have a Haley Strategic D3CRM Micro chest rig and a Hill People Gear (HPG) Recon Kit Bag that can be configured to hold mags. I also have a Condor assault rig hiding in my closet somewhere.

I like the higher ride of the Haley Strategic rigs compared to traditional chest rigs. The hig ride feels more secure and doesn't get in the way of my EDC belt setup.

The HPG Recon Kit Bag works well enough as a micro chest rig, but I wouldn't buy one just for that purpose. The main advantage of the HPG Kit Bags is that they can be used for a lot of other things besides carrying mags, and they're a little more discrete.

Blue force gear plate minus here. Purchased the XL version and found that 11x14" plates are not very common. Very happy with the carrier and all of the additional things you are able to add to it.

Unfortunately I had to sell my rig, times are tough. I had a Condor CPC for a lighter option, and the Condor MOPC for better coverage, both with rifle rated AR500. I think for the CPC with front and rear plates, I was in it $130, can't beat that.

If I'm running plates, crye JPC. I have a mission spec carrier as well with a haley chest rig attached, which allows me to haul more crap than the JPC. I have a spiritus chest rig if I'm running without armor. If I just run soft body armor I have a 2nd chance molle carrier with soft armor.

I have the testitudo gen 2 from Ar500, it is very comfortable. I am running Steelops plates front back and sides. Total setup weighs 5lbs less than with the Ar500 III+.

I also have a plate minus carrier with ceramic hesco plates- perfect fit.

I wanted something I could throw on quickly without velcro cummerbunds.

I have different PC's/threat level Plates for different/perceived scenarios.
I keep a Mayflower PC and Chest Rig (they can zip together allowing carrying WAY too much crap) in security box in my vehicle. Also have level llla Soft Armor in box.
Also have PC/Plates at home and at my office.

Simply adhering to Murphy's Law: "If you have it, 99% chance you'll never need it. If you don't have it, you'll probably wish you did." Or something to that effect.

I have an Eagle Mar-Ciras with BALCS and level IV ceramic plates. Yeah it's heavy but I've had it for a long time and it works for me.

Was in my original long winded post that I didn't post, but, to clarify, weight is a major factor, almost as much as the way the plates will ride, hopefully high(ish). I don't need this for work, I'm a lame arse civilian, but would rather BOCO. Not looking at steel plates. So it would have to accommodate the thiiiccer stuff. I like my plates like I like my women. (Thic, not plastic, rules can be stretched though). Don't really care about com stuff, just plates and mags, and room for snacks. Probably dog snacks too. Maybe a half pint of Kessler. IDK. Looking to hide it under a slightly oversized jacket, or wear in the open for gun games. Still leaning jrp or tactical tailor. Made in USA is also a factor. Thanks for your responses.

For inexpensive but quality ceramic plates check out RMA armor. Made in USA.

Poor attempt at humor. Redbreast 12 (better than the 18, there I said it) doesn't come in half pints.

I actually thought it was hilarious. Also thought maybe you were using it as solvent.

Just had some Redbreast for the first time on Tuesday. I don’t typically like Irish Whisky, well actually it doesn’t like me. It was quite tasty.

Just received this 511 one and so far I am impressed with it. Will be my quick reaction gray setup. Haven’t put plates or mags in yet. Likely going with steel in this one so I can run with it if Im feeling ambitious BF37814D-B6BE-492F-8432-A6A9AE0B08D8.jpeg

Nice holster. Nightingale... I'm guessing you have the matching mag holster.
