9 33cal pellets moving at 1,200fps delivering 1,500ft-lbs, PER PULL. Hard to argue with that!

Those guns are probably a great deal. Our shotguns sat in squad cars for years on end. I'd bet some of our guns didn't have 50 rounds through them when they got cycled out.

I keep a couple older trade in 870 riot guns around the house for home defensive purposes. The older wing master actions are smooth as warm butter and can be had for a great price.

Our 870s got beat to hell being taken in and out of the racks in the cars during shift change. I always managed to get one of the 870s that had the rifle sights. I carried both buck and Brennke slugs.

I bought a Police Magnum a few years back. Ordered it new from a local LEO supply store.

Two weeks later they got a ton of trade in LEO shotguns selling for half of what I paid for my new one..

A lot of departments are moving away from the scattergun in favor of the carbine.

I also bought an 870P a few years ago (under $200) when a local gun shop got some in from a local PD. As others describe, it has wear on the outside, but the bore and receiver were clean as a whistle. A little Brownells Oxpho Blue touched up some of the external wear spots with new bluing. Great deal, always goes bang! Enjoy yours!

Those are great guns. They tend to get better with age and use!
