I know a lot of people prefer satin stainless ,Springfield has a nice bright stainless and the Dan Wesson Pointman has the same bright Finish. Are there any pros or cons about trying to polish stainless where it looks like Nickel or Chrome ant advise would be appreciated

I’ve never seen a truest “bright stainless” on a hand Wesson point an, at least not factory.

That said, yes it shows scratches as mentioned above.

What they said. Makes for a "pretty gun" but would only use mine for range work and treated with greater care than the others.

The nice thing about a polished stainless steel firearm, is that if you do scratch it, or a little normal holster wear, you can easily refinish it to it's original glory using 2000 ~ 2500 grit paper and some polish...
