Which would (or did) you choose?

  • Walther PDP ..... It's a featherweight with silky trigger and just fine as it is!

  • Sig P320 .... It's like LEGO for gun freaks!

  • I don't play with PLASTIC

Haven't had one of these in a while..... always fun~

Today we ask: WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE

The Infinitely customizable Sig P320

or
The Incredibly shootable Walther PDP

The PDP has what many, even most, call the very best trigger of the entire polymer/striker-fired crop. The P320 from the factory is the most customizable handgun maybe ever, and now enjoys nearly as much aftermarket support and options and upgrades and gadgets as GLOCK.... Both are extremely reliable "Duty" handguns, and highly sought after in the marketplace.

Which did (or would) you choose? Vote, tell us how you use your choice (ie- EDC, Work/Duty, Nightstand, Range Gun, Competition, etc), and be sure to tell us WHY you chose the one over the other!

As always PICS ARE REQUIRED!!

** Speaking for myself - I wanna put together an X-Compact Pro-Cut slide with the XRAY3 sights, on a Wilson Grip, Competition trigger upgrade and Leupold DPP

The 320 Spectre Comp that I have has the following going for it:

- it’s heavy, which helps eliminate recoil
*you don’t have to grip as hard with this gun on multiple shot strings….less fatigue/tendinitis
  • it has a gas pedal, which helps eliminate recoil
  • it has a compensator, which helps eliminate recoil
  • it has a big optic, which helps you keep the target in sight
*you never lose the dot with this gun
  • it has a light trigger pull, about like a 1911’s
  • it has a huge magwell, which make reloads absurdly easy and fast
  • it is designed ergonomically perfectly, no abrasions to the hand when shooting or handling(like Glock finger for instance)
  • it has well designed 21 round mags that load easy and seat easy on a fully closed slide
  • everyone I have let shoot the Specter Comp have loved it…. and in particular two massive Glock fan boys easily out shot their own Glocks with the Spectre Comp
  • the Spectre Comp has a gold trigger and barrel, so you’re basically a pimp when you have one.

The PDP will be lighter, so easier to carry. It’s basically the same as a Glock. The Spectre Comp is another ballgame.

The Spectre is also twice the price. The PDP is not a Glock. It has a better trigger, better ergonomics but also a more complex internal design. I am looking to acquire a PDP in the future.

I have the full size frame with a 4" barrel. It is one of my favorite striker fired pistols. The PDP has an amazing trigger and is a very accurate shooter. Feels really good in the hand too. The one con for some people is the width of the slide but it is not an issue for me. I have owned a couple P320s in the past (X-Carry, Compact) and they were great shooting pistols but P320 just never did it for me.

NICE!! I think the RMS2 looks great on this gun... I've been leaning towards the DPP, but I wonder if it's too big / fat for this slide?

Does anyone have pics of their PDP w/ Leupold DPP mounted? Any opinions?

Those A.C.E. Grip modules are NICE but just a little to pricey for me....

Between the two.....I've only tried the P320, one of the Legion series....X-Five.

It has been an impressive gun, but not a carry gun. For me, it's more of a nightstand gun.

When it comes to polymers, my yearning has mainly been towards the 2011.

For many years my "Nightstand Gun" was a P320-FS-RXP with Wilson Grip, 21rd Magazine, Romeo1 and X300 light. As bulky as that was, I still felt like the Staccato C2 DPO I owned briefly was bulkier and far less comfy in-hand. It was ultimately the grip that prevented me from falling for really any 2011, but I have one of the new Staccato CS on order and I'm eager to see what that new, smaller grip will be like. Here's hoping!!

I have both.........and I have to say it's a tie!
The PDP compact/4"
-Great Walther grip and feel, Outstanding trigger, Love the Walther slide release
Just a wee bit snappy recoil

The P320 X Full
Very smooth shooter, nice trigger. Absolutely just hits anything I shoot at!
It does have that pesky accidental discharge hanging over it

Apples to Oranges, and they are both great! PPQ M2 45 vs P320 Carry with Gray Guns barrel and trigger upgrade. The Walther ergos are better. Both carry well. IMO the stock Walther trigger is slightly better than the Gray Guns Comp trigger. Similar accuracy now that I upgraded the P320 barrel.
