I have built 1 pre 70 Gov model 1911, everything is fine.
I have 1 of the first 45 acp, ccu
Rifles kits. I am looking for a frame to put on that rifle.
I have the parts for it.
What do you recommend ? I'm not really concerned about
Looks, just a pre 70. Gov. Model is what I am looking for. This kit is not the AR looking rifles, not sure even how many were made,
But it's very reliable, and fun to shoot.

I have had this ccu a very long time, probably 1990, this was made by a machine shop. This looks nothing like the current ones being made.
The only frame I know that fits is a pre 70 md or maybe a 70 md. I not sure is there a difference between pre 70 and 70 md or 80 md. I am not a expert on 1911 frames ect. I am just wanting to have a frame that fits, without buying something that doesn't fit or work. This ccu shoots very well and is reliable, just tired of it sitting in gun safe and not being able to shoot it without taking my gun apart and using it.
I am not a expert on 1911 but have built 1. I am very happy with it.
I am just wanting a frame that works, without breaking the bank.
