I recently picked this up from Blayglock. I really like the CCO platform and I have always wanted one in my collection. This is a Lee Horton edition Compact.

    Here it is stock:

There will be a few mods on the horizon:
    • Harisson Design retro rear sight
    • maybe Tritium front sight (came with new Tru-Glo tritium sight kit) There's a few years left in them.
    • then might switch out for gold bead.
    • ambi TS
    • Frag slim grips
    • EB scale flat MSH
    • scale matching FSC
    • Wilson flat trigger
    • EGW reverse key plug (hope this will work)

And then get the frame coated. Here are some options. Only photochop for color reference. The complete lower will be coated to match, so overlook the black small controls.

Nice CCO Cuong. Either way you go should look good judging by your previous builds. Congrats.

Actually I like the dark earth color.

I'll post some stuff about the Mil-Spec later. I got some parts on the way. Went through the pistol tonight, cleaned out some media, reduced the trigger pull, and sensitized the grip safety. Going to try and shoot it tomorrow!

That's what I'm thinking with the FDE, something different. Lately, two tones have been growing on me.

Good to see you Greg. Thanks. I'm on the fence. We'll have to see which color will win at the end.

I would go with Sniper Gray. I detest the Dark Earth colors.

Good to see you back, Greg.

Lou just did my P30 frame in Sniper grey and it' fantastic!!! It's a sweet two tone compared to the black because its a subtle difference. The FDE is a bit much for my taste.

So I did the detail strip on the gun, and found some interesting stuff.

    1) the slide is already cut for a bushing. Nice! So this is really tempting me to switch from bull to bushing set up. Plus the 2-piece stock SA barrel is also driving the new barrel wish.

    2) I don't know if this is the stock install of the plunger tube, or if this was a misguided attempt of the original owner to secure a loose plunger tube. Either way, this is not the best result. The front tube was crushed can can't be fix. So I'll need to get a new plunger tube.

Are you going to fit a new bushing barrel to it?

I'm looking into it. I'll see if there will be any issue with getting a ramped commander barrel to fit into it.

Another interesting thought is to get a complete top-end and convert it into a 9mm.

Not a bad idea. I stupidly passed up on a rare SA 9mm Ultra Compact and got this gun instead. /regret.

Im glad you like it. I like my ACS Mil-Spec. Only thing it really needs is a front dovetail cut so I can put a 10-8 in there. I ordered a 10-8 NM rear, Harrison short trigger, and a new sear spring. I put some custom grip tape on the front strap. Im also looking for a stainless MHS with an integral lanyard loop. It should be GTG after that.

I took it shooting Sat. I was able to do a 4" group offhand at 25 yards. Im positive the gun will do better than that, but my lack of practice recently shows.

I'm glad you like the MS. Look at GCI for their stainless MSH with a lanyard loop.
