I just learned that the Rem. #17802 18rd mags will fit my Rock Island, but was wondering if a 10mm round will fit.

The mags for my Rock 10mm say 40 S&W and are used in both, but I would rather buy the Rem. mags if they will work.

I ordered one yesterday just to try, but it won't be here for a week and I'm impatient.

To answer my own question, in case anyone cares.

Yes, the Remington R1 Limited double stack 40 S&W #17802 18+1 magazine will hold 10mm bullets and it fits the Rock Island 1911 A2 pistols. I'll let you know how it shoots in a few days.

Ok, went to the range today and the new Remington 40 S&W #17802 works with 10mm ammo, however it was not reliable in my Rock Island #52009 double stack 10mm.

The mag has enough play when inserted that it drops down about 1/8" and FTF about every second or third round. Sometimes pushing the mag up will feed the round sometimes not.

So I will buy the factory mags instead.
