Does anyone know where I can get just the head of a 1911 guide rod?

It was a long time ago, but I (think) I remember a place where I could just buy the head.

Or I'm remembering things incorrectly.

I can fire up the old grinder with a wafer wheel and make you one. It is an out of the norm question, are you using it for a different purpose?

I'm just looking for the head, or the part that sits against the frame.

I used to make a two-piece that had a larger end on it to help with keeping a comp'd bull barrel from banging around during cycling. I want to make another, and maybe some others that are of a custom size/length/material.

This might just be the other reason to own a Dremel tool!
I have seen some guide rod heads that have at threaded stud for screwing into the FLGR. Could this be ground off to serve your intended purpose?

I probably could make it work. If worst comes to worst, I can always make my own guide rod heads.
