Well, got to the range but, didn't get to shoot as much as I wanted due to some gottado's that came up. Up first was the Taurus Officer model 1911. I put 75rds of Sellier/Bellot 230gr FMJ and 25rds of Winchester white box 230gr FMJ through it without a single hiccup! She ran great and stayed pretty tight. I like the trigger pull on this one as I plan to carry it. Don't want to light of a trigger in a tense situation. 100rnds total for the Taurus.

    First 6rnds at 18ft:

Adjusted my rear sight and grip, next 6rnds:

Remaining rounds I shot at 33ft for function and placement. All in all a fine little shooter!

First 6rnds of Winchester white box at 18ft, I dropped the first round as you can tell:

Up next was the Auto Ordnance 1911A1BKOW. 25rnds of Sellier/Bellot and 25rnds of Winchester white box. 50rnds total for the AO. Shot at 33ft and she was dead on! Love this 1911!! Only 50rnds today but, there were no issues. Trigger felt a little loose to me but, I will look a little more at it.

    First 7rnds of Sellier/Bellot at 33ft:

First 7nds of Winchester white box at 33ft, I pulled the last one left:

    Nice job.
Had a Taurus first gen 1911 and it was a descent bang for the buck. It was a bit of a rattle trap and the blueing left something to be desired, but it was plenty accurate and 100% reliable.

We had one at the store and it looked pretty nice. Glad to see it looks like a decent bang for the buck.

Thanks for posting your experience. I hope it treats you right. I'm partial to American made 1911s but have nothing against those who go abroad.

The Taurus obviously isn't but, the Auto Ordnance is American made.
