Osceola County here. Just joined and VERY GLAD to be here. Family settled here in 1840's which may not seem like a big deal to those of you who may live in Va., Pa., etc. but we got here before Fl. was a state and had just barely became an official permanent part of the U.S. The state has a semi-official designation done by the state which a family can petition the state to be recognized as a Pioneer Family. I'm proud to say my family has been vetted and awarded that title. I suspect the actual truth is that my predecessors could never afford to move and we never found another state who would take us. I have relatives who are related three ways to Sunday. The family insider joke often told at family reunions is we are a poor herd of inbreeds. But I'm proud of it?!?!?
i literally can not get further away in the Continental US.
but i do wish i had some of your heat about now.
