Having just received my new DW Vigil in Duty Treat, here is the latest recommended lubes as stated in the owners manual included with the gun.
For all of you who ask what is allowed other than FP10.

I like how they added what to stay away from as well.

I have a love affair with FP-10, it's the best IMHO

I can totally agree. When you read the write up of the ingredients on the manufacturer brochure it’s hard to steer away from it. And if DW recommends it, that will be what I use in order to keep the warranty in good order.

I used to to use Weapon Shield on my DWs but changed to Lucas Extreme, both are excellent. Lucas really stays on the surface for extended period of time and never gets gummy or hard.

We 've used nothing but FP-10 on our DW's with no need seen to change. 95F down to-10F matches and no lube related failures.

Gunfighter gun oil is the best IMO and is duty treat safe. I use it on all my guns.

I've used FP-10 on almost everything for years. Part of the issue with Duty Treat is some chemicals react with it, causing cloudiness.

I think guncrafter actually said WD-40 was what they used.

i have bottles of FP10 that I never use. I would use it if I had a DW with that finish. Keep warranty in tact. TW25 is the only grease my rifle smith uses so now thats the only grease I use.

I can tell you from experience that Hoppe's #9 will NOT harm the Duty treat......
