Installed Red Dirt’s trigger on my STI Tactical 4.0 and Atlas Erebus last night…

All I can say, is WOW!

Super easy to install! STI took minor stoning for a proper fit. Pre travel is exactly what I was looking to get. I like 1/16” or so of pre-travel and I was able to dial this in with such ease. Their fitment guide as far as trigger length was spot on as well. All around positive review on their triggers! If your on the fence on ordering one, don’t hesitate!

I am a big fan of how adjustable the red dirt triggers are. Not the biggest fan of the look of the shoe design, although it does look great in your Erebus. Fortunately "for me" now DSC has a version of the Red Dirt trigger with no cut outs in the shoe.
Wish I’d have know Dave had the solid! I would have definitely gone that route! None the less, still happy with the product!

Do we have a good post on the site that provides information on how to fit this specific trigger into a 2011? I haven’t fitted one before, but I am interested in replacing my Artemis trigger. Thanks!

I'm sure if you use the search function, you'll find plenty of good information lol. There are lots of good videos on YouTube. If you can remove your slide, unscrew three screws from the frame, and remove your mag catch, the trigger will slide right out. You don't have to take the fire control parts out on a 2011 like a 1911.

I've never seen a red dirt trigger made for Staccato have to be fitted, they usualky drop right in. It honestly took me longer to get the pre-travel and overtravel set to where I like than it did to break everything down and drop the trigger in and put back together.

Good stuff here and on YouTube. I actually like Googling too. I was hoping for a link to ‘the one we should have pinned’ :)

Not sure if there is a video. But honestly, MAYBE some stoning/sanding with 1,000 grit on granite on tops of shoe. Very minimal fitting! Do not hesitate on ordering

Just curious. What got you interested in switching triggers in the bus?

Interesting. All my atlas guns run amazing trigger setups, flat of course. I’ve seen a few red dirt in person, the shoe design doesn’t appeal to me, but their engineering is solid. Glad to hear their dial in and setup is that simple and precise.

Lately I’m testing out cheely triggers. This one about to go in a staccato.

AJP am I seeing it wrong or are they only doing size 3?

That is what I thought
I'm between an F2 and F3. I went with the F2 because my wife also likes to shoot my staccato's and the 2 fits her better. I like to think that if I went to an F3, the proper sizing would help me from shooting slightly left, but its mainly an excuse to buy a solid black trigger.

I have a 2 on each already. I believe I'm putting too much pressure on the trigger, and the 3 would allow proper placement. I only notice it when I'm running the gun fast, and it it is only a slight amount unless I'm going out to 25 yards.
