So, I purchased this Colt about a month ago thinking I would never find the "specific date" Colt I wanted for sentimental reasons. This one was one year off the mark, but I was ok with that. Fast-forward….I found the Colt and date I want. Now I need to fund that purchase since I don't have the resources to keep both. So this is a catch and release. Here is the link to the original purchase with permission from seller to use their pictures which are better than mine. asking is $2,499....$2,599 and I’ll pay for shipping.
    • Colt MkIV/70's Series Government Model in .45ACP
    • Vertical Serrated Front Strap to Match the Mainspring Housing
    • Retro Rear Sight (Like on the Colt Hawk)
    • Novak Cut Gold Bead Front Sight
    • Flush Cut and Crowned Barrel
    • Reliability Enhancement & Action Job
    • Frame to Slide Fit Tightened
    • Retro Hammer
    • Match Grade Trigger Job w/ all fully machined new parts
    • Short Solid Trigger
    • Polished Flats on the Frame & Slide
    • Fully Black DLC Coated
    • Original Colt Grips & Mainspring Housing (Thus why they are not perfect, but we liked the originality)
    • "Customized by Nighthawk" Engraved under the right side grip panel.

Nice looking Colt with work from Nighthawk.

The base Colt is from 1981, correct?

    GLWS.
