Can we get a RMR 1911 pic thread with details. I know it’s not a classic design, but RMR’s are so dang popular.

I’ll start it off. Dan wesson speiclast cut by Dan wesson. That RMR broke and was replaced with a new type 2. upload_2019-2-27_17-55-21.jpeg

When they get a little narrower I'll stick a Trijicon on one of my 1911's. I love the RMR on my G19MOS.

My custom (by me) Kimber. I also have a 2011 with a RMR but it's in parts right now. :)

I carry the 1911. I can carry the 2011 on my right side, but I've changed over to shooting left-handed and still need to find a proper holster for that. I can still shoot right handed if need be. :)

    I’ll play.

Dan Wesson PM-9 that has been milled for a Kimber optic plate and wearing a Leupold DPP. My favorite pistol.

Kimber KHX OR (optic ready) 9mm with a Vortex Venom.

While I love my RMR on a Glock MOS, I'd also love to have one on a 1911. But I'm afraid as technology advances the footprint will change and I'd be stuck with an obsolete modified slide.

    Husker,
Buy a Kimber. Mine was just over $800 and it takes different plates. In the future if there's a new foot print it just needs a new plate.
I had my DW milled by John Vincent at Hallston Custom in Pennsylvania. Beautiful work. I will probably get a PM-45 and have him do that as well.

I have WAY too many 1911's to buy another just because it's already milled, but thanks for the hint.
