After much thought I have decided to thin the herd a little and let this one go to make room for the build that Chuck is working on for me now. This has been a tough decision for me as Chuck’s guns just don’t come up for sale often & I reserve the right to change my mind & withdraw it.

Chuck shipped this to me on May 9, 2016 - since then it has been in my range rotation and I have shot 2-3,000 rounds through the gun with absolutely zero issues! The gun looks virtually as it did the day Chuck shipped it to me, I can find only 2 signs of wear that I have done my best to capture here.

    1. Chuck coated the barrel, I presume in ceracoate but not positive, the black color is showing signs of wear as would be expected.

    2. On the edges of the slide where they contact the frame there are faint signs of wear.

    Build Sheet:

    Rogers Tier one rear sight
Flatten and serrate top of slide
    French cuts
    Rogers Whiteball front sight
Reliability package, reaching frame feed ramp, ream and throat barrel, cut vertical impact surface relief
Roger’s bobnose package: flush cut barrel and match crown, match barrel bushing, custom recoil spring plug with golfballing and modification to the slide
    Lower and flare ejection port
2 Wilson extractors tuned and fit
    EGW oversized firing pin stop
    EGW ejector custom fit
Grider medium trigger - internally lightened
    Wilson Commander hammer
Trigger job set to 3 3/4 pounds
    EGW thumb safety, custom contoured
    EGW beavertail grip safety
High cut and golf ball front strap
    Brown’s MSH - Flat - golfballed
    Heavy rounding of the butt
    Moderate carry bevel package
Bevel magazine well, maximum, cut into modified MSH
    Parkarize and ceracoat
    Test fire
    2 matching magazines
Roger’s logo grips - custom contoured

As you can see it was a very full, extensive build - about the only thing I didnt do was ask Chuck to fit a Kart barrel - we decided the Colt barrel was in excellent condition.

Considering the level of work to this gun, it being a Roger’s, how infrequently his guns come to market and what I can see as being a fair market price looking about and talking to a couple of knowledgeable folks I am asking $7,000 shipped please.

Since I am thinning my herd and letting go of a Rogers it goes without saying I am not really looking for trades with a couple of exceptions & please bear in mind if you are going to offer me a firearm trade that I am located in Kalifornia so it has to be on the approved roster or you have to be local to me to conduct a face to face PPT.

I would consider a partial trade of a Baer TRS, a Baer, Brown or Wilson 1911 chambered in 9mm - other than that I cant think of anything off of the top of my head that would tempt me.

So it does appear that Cerakote when applied right can indeed hold up quite well..What a beautiful piece. Fantastic GLWS Really nicely done.

I’m betting PWS got a new Rogers 22 min ago. Why did I rake the leaves today?

Congrats to both. My account was "hacked" by Ashley Madison this week. Otherwise I would be a buyer.

Today I did the only thing in my world that was worth missing out on this: I went to my Grandson's first birthday party!

That is badass. I love the 89-91 grill/headlights of those trucks. And congrats to the buyer.

Thank ya sir. I love my suburban, but hey that gun was close enough to drive over and trade. I had to throw it out there.
