I decided to take a second try at a set of modified grips. Bryan at Woodcaliber was kind enough to make a set of full sized 1911 full coverage grips out of Gaboon Ebony and Bolivian Rosewood unfinished without the magazine release detent on the right grip or a slide release plunger tube recess on the left grip. This made the grips WAY easier to dremel and sand to fit the 22/45 frame. I'm much happier with this second attempt's result.
