I’ve recently become intrigued with trying a MRDS on a 1911. My current favorite setup is a Commander 1911 in 9mm. As luck would have it, another member here had a Ruger Commander 9mm that had been sent to Ed Brown for an RMR cut and he was willing to part with it. So a deal was made, parts were ordered and here is the before and after...

Awesome Pete. How do you like that holosun? That’s the only one I haven’t tried yet. Great shooting as always

Sweet!!!! Congrats, hope you enjoy shooting that beauty.
    Love the Flat Trigger!

If you don’t mind giving updates on the Holosun once you get some more rounds thru it.

Can't argue with the results of "The Test" !! Well done. It's one of my favorite drills. Nice work. How much does/did Ed Brown charge to do the cut?

I’ve only shot it once for 150rds but I like it so far. Especially for the price.
Thanks for the compliment. Maybe one day, with enough practice, I can shoot as good as you?! ;)

Yes! I’m a flat trigger junky! Will do on the updates. I’ve been dry firing with it trying to pick up the dot quicker. I shot indoors the other day so I couldn’t draw or anything. Maybe it’ll quit raining on my days off sometime in the near future and I’ll be able to try it out.

Thanks! The dot makes the drill A LOT easier! Lol
I have no idea what it costs since it was already done by a previous owner.

How much did you pay for it RDS cut included? I'm trying to get a sense of what it costs to have Brown work on a non-Brown slide like that, since I just picked up a Ruger Commander here myself from a fellow "Addict." :)

Dan wesson charges 200 for the cut if that helps.

As I said, it was already done so I have no idea. I couldn’t even find the service listed on their website. Sorry.
