I like my SW686 a lot. Never had a Ruger or Colt.

I like my S&W double action revolvers, Ruger single action revolvers, and I am not a fan of Colt revolvers. I think that sums it up for me. I have two S&W double action revolvers and five single action Rugers. Zero Colts.

    Colt?

    Are they still in business?

    In order of MY preferences:

Ruger (those before Bill left are preferred)

    S&W (pre-lock only)

    Colt

Generally, I like S&W the best. However, the Colt Python is my favorite revolver.

Most other Colt revolvers don't come close to its quality level though.

For revolvers.. I would go with any of them.. for autos oth.. Colt hands down. I have yet to find a Ruger or S&W auto that I actually would buy..

I have at least one of each. All have their good points. I like 'em all.

Ruger is a workhorse, S&W wins competitions and Colt's are in collections.

Great quote Jess. :thumb: Unless...Hamilton Bowen has something to do with a Ruger, then his Ruger take's tops in all 3 categories.
