I saw on newsmax. Now her suffering is over. She fought the battle well though. RIP Ruth.

I'll bet Charles Schumer is writing up something to stop any one being nominated until after the election. It will be something about not appointing a SC judge during an election year. You know like when former President Obama's choice was put on the back burner.

Don't get me wrong, I think then as is now, let them do the process. Put another Conservative seeming judge on the bench.

McConnell theoretically has time to get someone through.

But the wishy washy pseudo-Dem senators won’t vote for it.

The republicans refused to allow anyone to be appointed with less than two months to go before the 2016 election. They said it was too close to an election and the appointment of a SCOTUS judge too important to do so quickly.
That will come back to bite us.
Just not enough time left to get what we want done. Even if Trump does appoint one the democratic senators will delay delay delay and delay some more to prevent anyone from being confirmed.

Obama was term limited and in the end of his administration. The delay was to allow the new President either DemonCrap or Conservative nominate the next Justice. PRESIDENT Trump IS NOT term limited. Appoint away to Nominate someone who has actually read the US Constitution!

Also if he picks Cruz and he accepts it we will be one republican short in the senate. A seat that may prove difficult to maintain and replace with another one.
