I've been on the hunt for a 3" M13 (blue) or a 3" M65 (stainless version) for a long time. There's just something about a 3 inch, round butt, K frame, chambered in 357 Magnum. I've always thought a 3 inch wheel gun was the perfect length. Well... a fellow Addict found this M13 at one of our local gun shops. He gave me a call, and I asked the owner to set it in his safe for me. I told him I'd swing by with the cash. I picked her up on Wednesday, and took her to the range today. She has a fantastic DA trigger, and locks up as tight as a drum. You just don't find a lot of these in the wild. Generally, those that have them, keep them. I feel very fortunate to score this one! Thanks for taking a peek!

Nothing better then a 3” K frame and yours is very nice. Perfect size revolver! At one time I had 2 1/2” and 3” of each model 64 (heavy barrel), 65 and 66. Foolishly sold them....looking at yours make me realize how stupid I was.

Don’t ever let yours go....beautiful revolver.

Lovely Model 13; now you will look for reasons for EDC.
Every now and then I break out my old 3" Model 65 and carry it for a few days. It just feels right.
Locate some period Winchester 158 grain JHP's and let the little gun come to life.

The PERFECT gun for shooting +P .38, or "toned sown" .357.

I had a 3" m65 I carried 30 years ago when Ayoob was singing their praises.
I shot 125 gr. Remington .357 out of it. The muzzle blast, fireball and concussion from that round, particularly indoors, was horrendous.
The recoil sucked as well. That round may have been a "97% 1 shot stopper", but it was hard to control. (BOOM- re-adjust grip, BOOM- re-adjust grip......)
I remembered thinking- "you'd better drop the bad guy with the FIRST shot, because you'll be flinching like a dog shXXting peach pits after that".

Thanks guys! The M13 (3 inch) round butt was the last standard issue at the FBI in the mid 1980s. These were the last of the FBI (357 Magnum) wheel guns, before they switched to semi autos. I love to carry K&L frame revolvers (IWB). This one will certainly find it’s way into my rotation.

It doesn’t get any better than that!

I recently sold a 65-5 Ladysmith 3" revolver. I got my price for it, but I still regret the sale. As said the 3" K frames are pure nirvana, just like the 5" N frames. Perfect balance, perfect aesthetics. To 41 Charlie, nice revolver , nice holster.

That seems a little high to me, but, they’re not making any more of them... and never made a lot of them.

I’d try negotiating a lower price, but I *might* pay that for it.

Good luck!
