S&W 25-2 (45 ACP) c. 1962.

Just an old model 25-2 chambered in 45 ACP, but this is one of my favorite N Frames. Years back, a fellow Addict help to convince me that I needed this Gun Show find. She dates back to 1962 and has an ‘S’ serial number prefix. She has a 6.5” barrel and the original box. I can’t think of too many things more fun than launching 200 gr. SWCs down Range with this old work horse. By far, the most accurate gun I own. I love to get this one to the range often. In fact, I had her out yesterday. Thanks for taking a peek!

That's a dandy Charlie.

I have one, I think it's an early "N" prefix, 6.5" buried in one of the gunsafes. Makes me want to dig it out. :)

Oh yeah, these are great with either 45 Auto Rim or Moon Clips. When I get lazy I shoot 45 ACP without the Moon Clips, and poke the empty cases out of the cylinder with a pencil. Great shooters for sure!

If memory serves, the rifling was shallow in these and cast bullet accuracy wasn’t great.
I remember shooting ball or JHPs in mine and I’m thinking that was why.

This one is a tack driver. She’s my most accurate hand gun (ever), and just eats up my 200 gr. LSWC reloads.
