S&W Model 27-2 6 Inch Barrel Revolver with superb bluing and checkered top strap. Gorgeous case coloring on hammer and trigger. Gun is absolutely stunning, perfect timing, tight as a drum, and smooth trigger. Correct stocks. No box or docs. $675 Face to face at this time; located in SW FL. Beautiful gun but I need the $$$.

Price is not a typo. This revolver was re-blued at Smith & Wesson in January of 1977. Gun is mechanically perfect inside and out and shows little to no wear. I have thoroughly inspected this revolver. Gun will make a wonderful shooter. You can tell it was factory re-finished at the S&W factory by the serial number stamped into the back of the cylinder, on the frame and the date 1/77 and RB-L on the grip frame. See pics. Forgot to put this info in original posting but wish full disclosure so here are more pics. As most of you know I know a little about S&W revolvers. When guns went back to S&W for re-finishing or other work the tech would stamp the SN on the parts so they did not get mislaid or accidentally swapped. That practice seems to only have occurred during the mid 1960 or early 1970s. S&W has not employed the practice of numbering the parts during a repair in many decades (to the best of my knowledge) so this one being re-blued and serial number stamped like this in January of 1977 make it somewhat unique. Enjoyed meeting Joe. Gun is sold. Had an interesting trip we ran over a 3 inch locking pin which punctured rear tire on way to our meet location. Put the spare tonka toy spare on and limped back home. Currently sitting in car dealership getting a new tire. Never a dull moment.
