How do S&W PC 1911s stack up with the best 1911 makers?
Example: Is the DK PC 1911 in 38 Super the equivalent of a Wilson in 38 Super?

I had a S&W Pro Series 9mm for a while. It was a nice gun, but definitely a factory gun comparable to some of SA's higher end factory guns. It was fit okay, needed some trigger work out of the box, had some minor machine marks on it. Not it league with a nice semi-custom.

Pro is not the same as PC, I will say the ones I have looked at did not impress me as much as other semi-customs.

I wouldn't quite put it with a Wilson, but its a great 1911.

I just don't understand with S&W uses a firing pin safety in their top 1911s. People spending $2K don't want that nonsense.

Probably because they base and sell them in MA..:frusty: The only 1911's approved on the MA roster list are S&W 1911,Sig 1911,R1 and I think Auto Ordnance. All with firing pin safety .
