So my stainless Mil-Spec just came back from the bead blaster, and it turned out pretty darn nice. Almost want to keep it, but it's getting ship out on Monday to a new owner. I hope he will enjoy it.

This is a semi-custom ACS pistol. :pound:

The photo doesn't due the finish justice. I don't have my dSLR, my brother borrowed it.

The Springfields clean up real nice with a quality media blasting.. The carpie factory blasting runs chills up my spine, but then again my DW wasn't any better.. All history now :thumb: Ron

If you don't mind my asking, how much does a nice bead blasting like that cost? My Combat Elite has polished flats on the stainless frame and I just don't like that much bling on a carry gun.

A bead blasting should run any where from $150-200. Springfield recently jacked up their rate close to $300. NUTTY.

    I like it! Very even.

That's an interesting modification to the hammer and grip safety.

    Thanks Andy.

Something different I guess. It was a "hey, why not" moment.

Nice. Do you have a media cabinet? might be worth getting one. I end up media blasting everything after metal work and then repolish. I

    great finish!

Whats the story with the grip saftey? i've seen that style on a couple pistols and i've taken quite a liking to it for a carry gun!
