I’ve been using Safariland QLS systems for years as a department armorer. I’ve never even considered trying to find a torque spec. “Good and tight” has always worked out just fine. Never used any Loctite either.

 

Are you sure its going into plastic or do you mean crushing the plastic? Usually Safariland uses grip nuts for their screws. You wouldnt be able to torque the screws hard enough by hand to crush any of the plastic. I usually tighten to snug and then give it another 1/4 turn. Have never had an issue

 

I am happy to hear that Loctite is not needed, but at the same time I am surprised it is not used.

 

I always use a dab of blue loctite. As an aside, Safariland has been a little forgetful lately with their holsters and guess what’s been happening…

 

I'm seeing 12 - 20 inch lbs depending on alloy. I'll agree with snug and a dab of blue loctite. I doubt mine are over 10 inch lbs.
