Happy Friday everybody! I've had an opportunity to save this Nighthawk GRP with a few custom touches and distressed melonite finish and I took it. Will be interesting to see how it wears in

What do you all think, did NH pull this off better than Ed Brown?

I've had Wilson, Brown, SACS, Dan Wesson but never a Nighthawk. Some of these new Nighthawks make me drool.

    I love my Nighthawks ! I have a T3, a Talon II, and a 10-8.

Agreed, I think NH pulls off the battleworn finish pretty good.

It is my understanding that NH does offer the battleworn finish (multicolor ceracote) in both bronze and steel tones, but this finish really is a distressed (sanded down) melonite. Not sure who did it first but I saw a Cabot in this finish at the LGS and liked it. From what I remember, Cabot distressed the edges more and left more finish on the flats where this gun is more evenly done but both look very nice.

That's absolutely gorgeous. I believe that I would rather have that one, personally. Very nice!

That gun looks great, but I view that as a "poser" finish. It's like buying jeans with rips, holes, stains. Why not legitimately "wear the gun" yourself?
