This gun was built just because I heard Chuck was accepting work. While he had it, I found the Springer I really wanted to build on. I told Chuck I may sell this one and asked him what he thought fair price was. Before I list it, I want an honest opinion from some of the serious collectors on here. What would be a good asking price for this

That level of work is out of my experience range.. I would venture a guess and only a guess $3500.. I'm guessing the work was $1500-$2000, but I could be way wrong. I doubt my guy charges as much as your guy... If ya-know what I mean.. Ron

I would tack on what you paid Chuck, plus the $1,100 for the Heritage, minus 20% since it's used......or something like that.

Yes it is used. I put 150 rounds through it before it went to Chuck to make sure it ran. Zero rounds since the work was done though.

Really only thinking about selling it to have another 9mm done. 15 years in the truck plant ruined my wrists. If I put 200 rounds of .45 through a gun, I'm sore for 2 days. I can shoot 9mm all day though.

Well ummmm, no ! But just in case you want to know what it might cost. Chuck finished a .45 Springer and a .45 Colt while he was building that one, and sold them on his site. The Springer went for $5600 snd the Colt was $6200. They both sold within 2 or three days of being listed.

I would say that was a good ball park. Maybe minus 5-10 % though, as there isn't anything else like that out there floating around.

I'm lovin' it, but I'm in the COTEP crowd. :)

Guess I'd have to know what you had in it to make a call like that. Honestly, if it wasn't for your wrist pain, I would never get rid of that beauty.

So somewhere between $2500 and $3000 ? In full disclosure, Chuck suggested I put it on GB with a starting bid of $2600 and see where it went. I would rather just come up with an acceptable price and list it on the forums I frequent as opposed to going the GB route.
